Ghostwalk Cancelled – October 22, 2011
West Bradford Township has cancelled the Ghostwalk scheduled for Saturday, October 22 and accordingly Martin’s Tavern will not be hosting refreshments as originally announced. The cancellation is due to the likelihood that the portion of Strasburg Road leading to the western side of the village will still be under construction and therefore unsafe for pedestrian traffic.

2010 Donors’ Wine & Cheese Social
On September 25th we were blessed with perfect weather for our donors’ wine and cheese party. The seventy patrons who attended were rewarded with delicious food courtesy of owner Warren Scott and Chef David Cox both of the The Marshallton Inn and some fine wine courtesy of Alice and John Weygandt, Proprietors of Stargazers Vineyard.
Senator Andy Dinniman made time for us in his busy schedule, Craig Rybinski had the gardens looking fantastic, and Peggy Dixon and Pat Gedney created floral arrangement we swear came from a shop. The strains of harp music from Juliana Nagy in period costume added a lovely touch to the afternoon.

The parade will begin at 1:00 PM and proceed down Strasburg and Northbrook Roads to the Bradford Cemetery where a memorial program will be held.
Afterwards all attendees are welcome at Martin’s Tavern where refreshments will be served and the grand prize winner will be announced.
The Friends of Martin’s Tavern also wishes to salute Marshallton resident Nancy Busby, who has been the driving force behind the Memorial Day parade for over two decades. Here is Nancy enjoying a well deserved snack at Martin’s Tavern after a prior year’s parade.

Here are some FOMT members and neighbors awaiting the arrival of a prior years’ parade.
